The Art of Distillation 

The Caribbean has always been well known by the production of alcohol since the 17th Century from which the sugarcane plantations took place.

 

As an strategic region the distillation of alcohol from the Sugarcane molasses, or directly from sugarcane juice became very popular as it acquire a peculiar taste when it was storage in oak barrels for transportation, and thus Rum was born.

 

Dominican Rum must be aged in oak barrels at least 12 month, so it can acquire the characteristic taste. The typical color comes from the wood and we usually use ex-bourbon barrels for the storage.

We are located in the capital of the first European city of America, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The island was first discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus and later Santo Domingo was founded in 1496 by his brother Bartholomew Columbus.

​Here we have our factory where we produced and bottle all of our exquisite liquors and Spirits. Dominican Republic has an strategic geographic location that has gain importance in the last decades.
